Just felt like giving a rebuttal “the world doesn’t need man” quote:
Eventually Earth is going to be hit by an enormous meteorite which will probably kill everything. Unless, of course, we reach a technological point where we can stop or redirect it. Or we’ve spread to another world and taken the other lifeforms with us.
Disdain our effect on the environment, but of all lifeforms on Earth, we’re the only one that can truly assure long-term survival and spread.
