I Can't Help But Notice That The Punisher Has 3 Films Now And Red Tornado Has None

So the new Watchmen trailer is better than the old one but there’s still too much slow motion.

Also check out the Terminator: Salvation trailer if you like seeing killer robots!

Also also I noticed that The Rock is now being credited as Dwayne Johnson. This is probably old news but I didn’t notice until seeing the trailer for Race to Witch Mountain.

Also also also Jean-Claude Van Damme is back!!!

Two Things

1. Here are some more photos of Cthulhupalooza thanks to Rick

2. Java Joint charged my credit card three times. The first time she put my card through then walked away. She came back and said “it didn’t go through – I need your card again.” The second time she ran it through she realized the machine was out of paper. She asked for the card again. I said “you didn’t already charge my card twice did you?” She assured me the previous two didn’t go through. She was dead wrong, as my statement has told me. Now I’m going to go back and try to get my $20 back without a receipt. Wish me luck.

2.5. It has been a shitty day.

UPDATED – I THINK I FIXED THE SURVEY

As you may have heard I’m working on a project for a roleplaying game based on the World Wildlife Federation of Justice. I pretty much know who my ringers are for which characters I will include, but I wouldn’t mind getting some feedback before I finalize.

So the question is, who are your favourite WWFJ characters?

It’s just one page (plus the intro) and just one question, really.

FOBS!

I am a member of the Cooperative Auto Network, which I have talked about before. The difference between CAN and, say, Budget rentals is that CAN is cheaper if you’re using the vehicle for less than 5 hours, or if you need something bigger than an economy car.

My normal car use is to rent a small car from Budget and drive it to and from Chilliwack for band practice. This costs me about $50 typically, including gas. The one time I tried it with a CAN car it was $120.

Now CAN has introduced “fobs” which is some little device that I don’t really know much about. Here’s a bit from the CAN site:

Why is The Car Co-op introducing on-board fleet management?
The on-board fleet management system will limit access to Co-op vehicles so that only drivers who have booked a vehicle can use it. This will reduce the number of mistakes around booked vehicles, track early pick-ups and/or late returns, and improve fleet security. The system will also provide odometer information to improve the accuracy of our invoices.

Using a fob is mandatory, which means I have to make a trip downtown to pick one up. If I have to make a trip downtown to the CAN office I’m kind of inclined to cancel my account and get my $500* deposit back. I don’t like this fob business as it sounds inconvenient and unwarranted.

*or whatever it was.

Adam PW Smith Photo of Cthulhupalooza

I went from having no auditions whatsoever in 4 months to having five in a week. What gives?

Here’s one of the best shots Adam took of Cthulhupalooza last week.

Yesterday was the best Sunday in a long long time. Spent the entire day with Deanna watching movies at home on a snow day. No driving to Chilliwack, no organizational meetings. Just relaxing and writing WWFJ stuff at home.

Another Fan Gets It Off His Chest

Gentlemen of the Thickets,

An associate of mine that trafficks in the esoteric and arcane exposed me to your Shadow out of Tim work. The experience was mostly pleasant, as the melodies swept me away to places that I had only otherwise experienced in dreams. After repeated listenings though, I started to notice that the vocal and musical qualities are such that no human could actually perform. I also find myself mouthing along the strange incantations, as if somehow compelled. These realizations chill me, as I also seem to subconsciously initiate the music without even realizing what I am doing. I often bolt straight up out of my chair, upon coming to my senses, while the music is playing at a volume quite unsuitable for a cultured gentleman such as myself.

I fear that outer forces are now acting upon me through your music, and that I’m not long for this world. As a final defiant act before I succumb, I plan to purchase one of these infernal discs for myself to prevent at least one more of your potential victims. The public must not be allowed to find out about your other eldritch merchandise, so I’ll likely be picking up a t-shirt or two as well.

Ia~! Ia~! Thickets!

Your newly converted cultist,
IdolNinja
