YOU Design Dupligator!

Today I made a ‘bare bones’ version of Crackerjackal and Dupligator. Like a paper doll, I am going to try on various costume designs and colour schemes. While I’m working on Crackerjackal, I wonder what you might do to Dupligator of the opportunity was presented?

Critique: Crackerjackal

I think I’m about 60% done on Crackerjackal.

I wanted to give him a hat but I couldn’t think of anything that wasn’t Robin Hood, and he already looks too much like Disney’s Robin Hood (fox). Especially because of the shirt. It’s a challenge to reconcile the superhero costume and the funny animal motif of shirt with no pants (a la Porky Pig & Donald Duck) but I am erring on the side of funny animal, generally. I don’t want to get too complicated in these designs.

cableDEFINITELY NO. WHO LET THIS GUY IN HERE?

WWFJ: Metalligator Version 2

I thought perhaps belt jets were the way to go, but in each sketch they just got in the way. I like the idea that the suit makes him look very supermuscles but in his alter ego he’s a 98 pound weakling gator.

I know that the laser blast looks very 9th grade, I added it in at the last minute.

Critique: Metalligator!

Not really happy with the armor, looking for something a little more distinctive that isn’t a total Iron Man ripoff and also would fit in with the silver age of comics. So, more work to do, but I thought I’d post what I have so far.

WWFJ Blurb

Everyone from doctors to lawyers to comic shop staff are familiar with the perennial debate that’s kept the schoolyard (and later the internet forums) lively for decades; who would win in a fight: InvinciBull or Metalligator?

The adventures of the anthropomorphic animal superheroes of The World Wildlife Federation of Justice (WWFJ) and their foes have brought joy to boys and girls of all ages for years, but always under the reign of those haughty comic book writers up in their ivory towers at Stalwart-Hog Comics.

Now, finally, Atomic Overmind Press puts you in control of your favourite funny animal superheroes.

We’ve gone through thousands upon thousands of classic dog-eared copies of Tails to Enthrall, Robot Reindeer and even Vault of Anthropomorphic Horror to get all our literal ducks in a row. Using the award-winning Mutants & Masterminds roleplaying game system, we can now say with confidence exactly how much weight Enormouse can lift, how fast Velocelot can run, how many peasants it takes to sate Rhinosferatu’s dark thirst, and just what the hell it is that The Impossum can do!

Not only have we tackled the onerous task of quantifying the many powers of the WWFJ and their various nemeses, but we’ve also laid the groundwork for you to create your own amazing animal heroes in the setting. Because when Astromandrill, The Great Wolverini and the rest of the WWFJ already have their paws full on the other side of the world or beyond the stars – who will answer the call to justice?

High jinks await!

Wordle Wildlife Federation of Justice

Here is a cool thing. You type a block of text into wordle.net and it arranges by size the words used. That was an awkward sentence – just look:

I input my writing for the Mutants & Masterminds supplement for World Wildlife Federation of Justice. I think the result is keen. Click on the pic to see a bigger version and try to figure out what a mouldywarp is.
