I am still not 100% happy with the design of Vigilantelope, but decided to go ahead and start working on some colour studies. Here they are, feel free to comment.
World Wildlife Federation of Justice: Vigilantelope version 1
Here’s a sketch I did while waiting in the doctorb’s office (the ‘b’ is for ‘bargain’) of Vigilantelope. It’s fine technically but I find the character boring. I think I need to make him more memorable somehow. I think I’m going to trade in the cape for a v-shaped shield and gruff him up a bit. Any suggestions?
Elephantom Shaping Up!
Here’s yet another sketch of Elephantom, adversary to the World Wildlife Federation of Justice. I think he’s very close to how I want the final version in terms of character design. I couldn’t decide if he needed tusks AND beard AND mutton chops AND moustache….I think right now his hair is ridiculous enough. With the tusks and the moustache in pretty much the same place it got quite busy around his face. Same thing with the mutton chops up against his high collar.
I was thinking of making him pink, but that would be too close to Hypnopotamus. I kind of like the green, gives him an eerie ghost-like quality which suits his name (and powers).

Rhinosferatu – Pia Guerra Style!

This weekend at Anime Evolution I was fortunate enough to get this Rhinosferatu sketch by Pia “Y The Last Man/Doctor Who” Guerra. Check out her store at http://hellkitty.blogspot.com

Thanks Pia!
Elephantom Version…3?
Here is yet another sketch of Elephantom, villain to the World Wildlife Federation of Justice.
I’m still not happy with it, though it’s my favourite so far of the numerous sketches I’ve done. Did you know Elephantom got his powers in the same accident in which Go-Rilla got his? And they’re arch-nemeses.

World Wildlife Federation of Justice Postcards
I’m planning on making some postcards to bring to Anime Evolution to sell to the teeming millions.
Here’s a preview of the work so far! Feel free to comment (or request your favourite WWFJ character!).
WWFJ Collectible Cards? Yes!
For the 2010 Chicagoland Entertainment Collectibles Expo this year I was asked to draw some cards for the Treasure Chest of Art charity project, benefitting the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation. Among the other artists are Mark Texeira, Jeff (D&D) Easley, Norm (Batman)Breyfogle, Dan (Nocturnals) Brereton, Evan Dorkin, Arthur (Heavy Metal) Suydam, and Adam (Wonder Woman) Hughes, among many others. This is the first time the World Wildlife Federation of Justice characters will appear in the same project as the Star Wars universe. Here are my submissions – it’s a veritable Who’s Who of the WWFJ universe!
WWFJ Characters Part of Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation Charity Collectible Cards
I’m pleased to announce that I’ve committed my original World Wildlife Federation of Justice characters (10 of them) to this cool trading card project! It’s gonna be cool having my artwork in the same card set as Star Wars stuff.
I’ll post the artwork as it gets done!
