I’ll have a dealer table at Vancouver Comicon on Sunday Jan 16 @ the Heritage Hall 3102 Main St. I’ll be there from opening until about 4pm, selling my art, my books, my band merch, and promoting Cthulhupalooza 2! Toren is Eligible for a Shuster Award!

Wow, I’m honored and excited. Because of my contributions to New Reliable Press’ comics anthology Acts of Violence, I am eligible for a Shuster Award this year. In case you don’t know what that means, Joe Shuster was one of the creators of Superman (and Canadian), and the awards recognize the work of Canadian comic book creators. The 7th Annual Ceremony is in Calgary this June.

Partial Rough for new Thickets shirt

I thought I had previously posted with a rough mockup of a new Thickets shirt, but maybe it was Facebook. The idea is an homage to the classic metal t-shirt, a la Iron Maiden, with an over-the-top, gory skull, blood & fire fest on a black shirt. I won’t give too much away, except for the image here is a rough sketch of one of the elements of the full t-shirt design…
