WWFJ: Metalligator Version 2

I thought perhaps belt jets were the way to go, but in each sketch they just got in the way. I like the idea that the suit makes him look very supermuscles but in his alter ego he’s a 98 pound weakling gator.

I know that the laser blast looks very 9th grade, I added it in at the last minute.

Critique: Metalligator!

Not really happy with the armor, looking for something a little more distinctive that isn’t a total Iron Man ripoff and also would fit in with the silver age of comics. So, more work to do, but I thought I’d post what I have so far.

Wordle Wildlife Federation of Justice

Here is a cool thing. You type a block of text into wordle.net and it arranges by size the words used. That was an awkward sentence – just look:

I input my writing for the Mutants & Masterminds supplement for World Wildlife Federation of Justice. I think the result is keen. Click on the pic to see a bigger version and try to figure out what a mouldywarp is.

WWFJ Update

So the Go-Rilla VS Elk Diablo one page comic is in the can and more importantly in the hands of the Cloudscape Comics editor.

Meanwhile on the Atomic Overmind front, I’ve been asked to provide a World Wildlife Federation of Justice logo, which I totally had not even thought of doing.

Enter facebook and a few people expressed interest in working up a design after I put out the call. My guidelines were that it should look at home both on the cover of the comic and as the official logo of the organization IN the comic, and that it should be wide and short (as opposed to thin and tall – another way of saying this would be ‘horizontal’) so that it can fit both on the top of a comic book and on a website.

Here were the three references I provided:

So, what came out of that? Stay tuned for the next exciting episode of WWFJ LOGO SAGA!

Go-Rilla VS Elk Diablo

Here’s what I’m working on. The deadline is tomorrow. Most everything is done except for the word balloons. I actually inked most of this in Photoshop with my wacom tablet which was both interesting and frustrating. Should get easier as I practice. The complete version of this will be in Cloudscapes “Funday Sunnies” anthology. Which you should buy directly from ME!
