CHAINS
China marker on manila paper, circa 1994
Whenever The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets made a new batch of costumes there would be a photo shoot courtesy of Bob Fugger (bassist at the time of this drawing). This drawing is based on one of his photos of my costume that consisted of a jump suit accessorised with garden chain spray painted to look metal + shower curtain hangers + a transparent vacuum hosed attached to a helmet. This costume was lost but re-imagined in 2008 with the addition of keychain lights and a working light bulb on top of the helmet. $890

New Caustic Soda Podcast Episodes:
On the “Yar! Pirates!” episode of Caustic Soda it was my pleasure to ask Chris “Freeport” Pramas from Green Ronin Publishing on as a guest to talk about the true history of pirates.
Then we got Chris “Kerberos” Stewart on to talk about “The Perfect Murder” where I was thrilled to learn about H.H. Holmes’ Murder Castle and other grisly delights.
And just this past week we released the “Snakes!” episode where we talk about the world’s deadliest snakes, titanoboa, and the history of pet snakes killing their owners over the past decade. Enjoy!
