GENERAL BIO
Toren Atkinson was raised on a ‘beefalo’ farm in Chilliwack BC Canada and is the lead singer for the Cthulhu rock band The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets. He is co-creator of the award-winning roleplaying game Spaceship Zero. Toren has worked as illustrator for games like Call of Cthulhu and Dungeons & Dragons and provides art and storyboards for various Marvel and Star Wars animation, as well as Agent King. As an actor he’s appeared in Stargate: Atlantis and provided voices for Marvel Super Hero Adventures. Toren co-created and -hosted the podcast Caustic Soda podcast and you should definitely follow him on youtube and instagram @torenatkinsonartist.

Toren “MacBin” Atkinson is the lead singer for the Cthulhu rock band The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets, (as played on the video game Rock Band 2) . As a comic artist his work can be found in graphic novel anthologies such as “Acts of Violence” from New Reliable Press and “Exploded View” from Cloudscape Comics. His other illustration credits include Call of Cthulhu d20, The Book of Fiends, and Delta Green. Toren also co-designed and illustrated the award winning tabletop roleplaying game Spaceship Zero and in the world of animation has provided art for various Marvel projects and storyboarded for Rocket Monkeys and Winston Steinburger. As an actor, Toren has provided on-screen and voice talent to such properties as Stargate: Atlantis, Sword of the Stars (VG), Fort Zombie (VG), and Penny Arcade’s Cardboard Tube Samurai. Toren is one of the creators and hosts of the popular Caustic Soda podcast.

As a member of the band he has toured across North America and played with the likes of GWAR, They Might Be Giants, Freezepop, Jonathan Coulton and countless others. Toren also co-designed and illustrated the award winning tabletop roleplaying game Spaceship Zero, and provided on-screen and voice acting talent to such properties as Stargate: Atlantis, Sword of the Stars (VG), Penny Arcade’s Cardboard Tube Samurai, and Marvel Super Hero Adventures where he played Doctor Strange!.
